Karrie is a mathematician and data scientist with over 10 years of experience in the UK healthcare and life sciences sectors, and was inspired into technology because it offered a powerful platform to combine a passion for mathematics and curiosity about the world.

Being a woman and a minority in tech motivated Karrie to challenge gender and diversity gaps. By pursuing a career in tech, Karrie aimed to inspire and empower other underrepresented individuals to follow their passions and contribute their unique perspectives to the industry.

In 2019, Karrie established Hypatia Analytics, which allows her to take on independent data science projects while also dedicating time to pro bono work and skill based volunteering and mentoring programmes such as Stemettes. She believes that data and mathematics are essential for making better decisions and applies this philosophy to her planning and decision-making processes.
