A senior inventor and technology engineer at IBM, at 23, Emma already has 13 filed patents to her name, demonstrating her innovation and dedication to advancing technology.

Her inventions are typically focused on improving productivity, for example, enhancing collaborative software development, reducing errors when sharing short links and detecting if sensitive data is about to be pasted into the wrong place.

Emma says she loves the job, "because it allows me to think outside the box, combining my passion in creativity and technology".

Her secret talent is a Grade 8 distinction on the recorder; she will generally chuckle at a well wrought pun.
