Kish Hirani
Part of the IT Leaders 100 - a list of the most influential IT leaders in the UK in 2023.
Kish am passionate about technology, from early days of hobby programming as a teenager to university, all the way through to technical leadership at various exciting companies.
He started in the video games industry in 1996 as a programmer, the day after graduating with a Masters from Edinburgh University. He then moved to technical leadership roles at notable development studios and publisher houses (Acclaim, BBC Multimedia, THQ), before moving to platform-holders. Those included Microsoft and soon after Sony, as Head of Developer Services, running the PlayStation developer technology services division.
Kish is the chair of BAME in Games (BiG), a grass-roots, advocacy group dedicated to improving ethnic diversity and encouraging minorities to work within the games and broader entertainment industry, as well as CTO of KISS Publishing.
