Nick Hirst - CIO, Health Research Authority

Nick Hirst has more than 35 years of experience in the IT industry and at end-user organisations, including a stint as IT Director at confectioner Cadbury. As CIO at the NIHR Clinical Research Network Hirst is responsible for strategy development, delivery, business intelligence and analytics, as well as supplier management. Recent projects have included outsourcing the management of IT infrastructure and helpdesk to a third party, and migrating the organisation's applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS).
