What's the most exciting part of your current role?

The opportunity for making a real difference in supporting the groups business plans and growth aspirations via the appropriate utilisation of business enabling technology solutions.

What do you do in week one of a new project to avoid pain in month six?

Make sure you have an agreed set of aligned high-level objectives and delivery expectations that are shared between key stakeholders.

Too frequently, I've seen projects struggle later down the line as they moved straight into delivery mode and didn't make sure that everyone was moving down the same path leading to subsequent challenges as realignment needs to occur.

What’s the part of your estate you most want to simplify in 2026?

The ability for those looking after our clients to be able to more efficiently and effectively service and support them through the enhanced utilisation of simplified technology solutions.

Excluding smartphones, what piece of technology could you not live without and why?

For me, communication technologies and platforms continue to be critical. The ability to communicate with people in the most appropriate way, wherever anyone is, efficiently and flexibly, is essential to support modern working practices.

What excites you most about the future of IT?

The unknown and next set of business value opportunities where technology can become a key enabler.

Never knowing everything that is around the next corner means the next exciting opportunity is never far away.

What talent are you quietly proud of that would never show up on LinkedIn?

My ability to train birds of prey.

What’s your most-used keyboard shortcut or command that you wish everyone knew?

Ctrl + C, Ctrl + X and Ctrl + V. I lose count how times each day I use these. We all need to copy and move things around when drafting anything after all.
