‘Megan effortlessly navigates the landscape of tech’

Megan Booth has been working in and around the technology sector for many years now firstly at a specialist EPOS provider and more recently she has taken on a leadership view with a Global Entertainment provider helping to launch large scale venues such as Coop live in Manchester and also rolling out Oracle EPOS deployments at such prestigious venues as Royal Albert Hall, London’s Skygarden and Peak at Hudson Yards in New York.

She is currently spearheading deployments at two major football stadiums and an arena in the UK.

“She has been a breath of fresh air and continues to inspire other women in the workplace,” said the IT director at RHC/OVG International.

What does the nomineeconsider to be her biggest achievement to date?

Megan was instrumental in the roll out of the F&B technology at the UKs largest music arena, Manchester's Coop live Arena. Voted the UKs Best Venue and with the largest ticket sales of any indoor venue in Europe, Megan took this project on as her second venue after joining RHC in 2024.

After cutting her teeth with the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Coop live install was a 275-end-point deployment utilising a mix of technology including self-service kiosks, walk-up-fast tills, mobile order and pay solutions, tablets, QR code and restaurant and premium dining locations.

What is the most significant challenge the nominee has overcome?

Working as a young female in IT is often a difficult space to get your voice heard in a landscape traditionally dominated by men. Megan effortlessly navigates this landscape and is treated as an equal amongst her peers through her dedication and outstanding work ethic, coupled with her unmatched knowledge and specialist understanding of retail and food technology.

Megan is yet to break a nail on site even though she is the first to get on the assembly line!
