Part of the Tech Women Celebration 50 – a curated list of some of the most inspirational women working at all levels of tech
Abigail Allman is the Head of SAP Ecosystem and Engagement at Resulting IT, where she spearheads strategic initiatives to connect customers, partners, and the broader SAP community.
With over 15 years of experience in ERP and enterprise transformation, she excels at bridging technology and business outcomes through meaningful engagement. Abigail is also the Founder and Host of Women in ERP (WERP), a globally recognised podcast and community dedicated to amplifying diverse voices in the ERP space. Since its launch in 2021, WERP has grown to over 10,000 regular listeners, inspiring and empowering women in tech. A passionate advocate for diversity, inclusion and gender equity in STEM, Abigail balances her leadership career with family life as a proud mother of three, proving that success in tech and personal fulfilment can coexist.
What does the nominee consider to be her biggest achievement to date?
Abigail’s most significant achievement is the creation and growth of WERP, which has evolved from a passion project into a global movement for equity and empowerment in the ERP sector. Launched in 2021 to address the underrepresentation of women in enterprise technology, WERP is the first female-centric ERP podcast, offering a space for women and allies to share stories of transformation, leadership, and innovation.
With over 10,000 regular listeners and collaborations with leading tech brands, WERP sparks conversations that drive systemic change. Beyond the podcast, Abigail has built a community that supports women at every stage of their ERP careers through events, mentoring and advocacy. Her ability to blend strategic thinking with human-centred storytelling sets her apart, while her commitment to girls in STEM and gender representation has created measurable impact. Abigail’s achievement lies in amplifying voices, opening doors, and challenging norms across the ERP and SAP ecosystem.
"The Women in ERP podcast series is more than just a platform for discussion; it's a movement that elevates women's voices and stories. Abigail’s commitment to empowering women shines through their thought-provoking content, and I can't help but feel inspired after each episode," said Helen Hauck, Director of Social Media Strategy at IFS.
"Women in ERP is a must-listen for anyone interested in ERP and diversity in the tech industry. Abi brings to life the experiences and insights of talented women working in the ERP field. Can't wait for each new episode," said Fiona Warburg, Solutions Architect Practice Manager at The Cooperative Group.
Abigail has also published several articles in ERP Today.
What is the most significant challenge the nominee has overcome?
Abigail’s most significant challenge was navigating the start of her career as a single parent living in social housing. Juggling early motherhood with the ambition to build a career in tech, she faced barriers that many of her peers did not.
Balancing nursery drop-offs, late-night study sessions and multiple part-time jobs, Abigail relied on relentless determination and an unshakeable belief in creating a better future for her daughter.
Breaking into the male-dominated ERP industry required grit and resilience, as she often felt invisible in rooms dominated by privilege. However, she leaned into her authenticity, pursued every learning opportunity, and used her seat at the table to advocate for underrepresented voices. This experience shaped her leadership and inspired her to found Women in ERP, ensuring others could find representation and support.
Overcoming that early adversity wasn't about luck, it was about grit, purpose and proving that where you start in life should never define where you can go. She didn't just break into tech, she built something within it.
Tell us something about the nominee that people would find surprising
Despite her fast-paced career, Abigail has a deep love for gardening and growing her own vegetables. Her garden is a grounding space where she reconnects with nature, practices self-sustainability and grows organic produce.
She believes that how we nourish ourselves impacts our personal and professional lives, drawing parallels between cultivating plants and fostering communities.
Gardening also serves as a shared activity with her children, teaching them the value of healthy living and patience and the joy of growing their own food.
