Sophia Ambrose

Part of the Rising Stars 30 — a list of the UK's most talented young tech professionals in 2025

Sophia was placed into a Computer Science degree at university despite applying for business.

She started working at IBM for her placement year as an intern and returned as a graduate, working within government. Sophia now leads a team within a government department, in developing a pioneering platform to manage and analyse large datasets. This initiative aims to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.

She strives hard to make sure every team is empowered to have their voice heard, and says the majority of technical delivery is human focused. Outside of work Sophia is a hockey goalkeeper playing in London Premier league.
