Natasha Barker

A Chartered IT Professional with certifications in TOGAF, GDPR and cybersecurity, Natasha has a strong background in IT architecture and a passion for innovation and mentorship. Initially considering a teaching career, Natasha discovered her passion for tech during her studies after realising the diverse opportunities available, especially for women in the field.

As lead architect at Matalan, Natasha revolutionised IT architecture by converting rigid processes to Agile methodologies, improving governance without compromising speed. Her innovative approach caught the attention of The Open Group, who invited her to contribute to their Open Agile Architecture standard. This work enabled successful digital transformation, with significant cost savings.

Natasha is a vocal advocate for diversity in tech, serving as an ambassador and mentor for initiatives like InnovateHer, Digital Her and Elevate Women in Tech. She engages with schools, colleges and universities to inspire young people, particularly women, to pursue tech careers.
