Liam joined Aviva in September 2023 and made an immediate impression on the team as a highly capable and trustworthy technical professional.

At Aviva Liam has had the opportunity to be involved in market-leading technology at the forefront of IT innovation and has excelled at anything he has been tasked with. Key achievements from last year were: rewriting a manual email system as a self-serve process, becoming acting tech lead for the Aviva Messaging Service test automation tool, and championing test automation by presenting at a senior leader event.

He is an advocate for containerisation and has actively moved the team forward by containerising the UI back end and allowing the team to run multiple batches of tests against all Aviva environments, and rebuilt old systems to use a serverless architecture.

Hard-working and inquisitive, Liam achieved a year’s worth of goals in his first three months, earning the highest performance rating only afforded to 5% of staff across Aviva.
