Jake Hassall
Part of the Rising Stars 30 — a list of the UK's most talented young tech professionals in 2025
Jake’s IT journey began with early academic excellence and a selfless act: helping others navigate technology at a Job Centre. This led to a year-long apprenticeship and a full-time role as an IT technician, where he later became an IT Manager, overhauling a school’s infrastructure and mentoring a future cybersecurity engineer.
At Vizst, Jake quickly rose from senior service desk engineer to NOC engineer, building the company’s NOC and leading projects like Crew Clothing’s SASE deployment and a 100-store networking rollout in 45 days. He designed Vizst’s virtual Palo Alto firewall, achieved a perfect score on the Extreme Networks exam, and champions SASE’s future with AI integration.
Jake’s impact extends to presales, project delivery and initiatives like AI-powered ticket analysis. Outside work, he’s active in charity initiatives and is an avid surfer.
“Jake's talent is building secure, efficient and future-proof IT environments from the ground up - whether that's for a customer or for Vizst's own infrastructure,” said a colleague.
