Computing's Digital Technology Leaders Awards return for 2020

The event, dedicated to technologists, returns for another year and is open for entries now

Computing is proud to announce the return of the Digital Technology Leaders Awards: the industry's premier event dedicated to recognising the achievements of technical staff at the cutting edge of the digital stack: from website design and coding to UX and project management, from scrum masters and product managers, all the way up to the CDO.

Digital working is ubiquitous in modern business, and organisations of every size and sector are rapidly embracing these technologies to improve customer interactions, boost sales or streamline processes.

The Digital Technology Leaders Awards will recognise the organisations, teams and the individuals delivering these digital transformation projects, with 28 awards across three major categories.

The Organisational Excellence section focuses on the teams bringing everything together, from Digital Team of the Year and Digital Service Company of the Year to Best Place to Work in Digital and Project Team of the Year.

Project Excellence will celebrate everything from automation and IoT projects to machine learning/AI and security initiatives, as well as focusing on sector-specific projects, such as SMEs; not-for-profits; large enterprises; and public sector organisations.

Finally, the Personal Excellence section focuses on the individuals bringing these projects to life, celebrating everyone from data analysts and DevOps leaders to product managers and - of course - chief digital officers.

New this year are awards for digital service companies both large and small; security specialists; project managers; and the chief technology officer - a distinct role separate to that of the CDO.

Entry is free, and entrants must submit a case study of a maximum 1,000 words, which must fulfil the stated criteria for each category: duplicate entries and marketing copy will not be accepted. The entry system is live now, and accessible through the awards website.

A panel of expert judges will join forces with the Computing editorial team to choose the winners, who will be announced at the awards ceremony on the 8th July - complete with champagne reception, three-course meal and entertainment.

Entries must be finalised by the 27th March at 5pm, but that is no reason to delay: enter now to make sure the judges hear about your achievements.
