Highlights from the Women in IT Excellence Awards

Computing brings you a highlights reel from the fabulous Women in IT Excellence Awards

The Women in IT Excellence Awards were a huge success, with over 600 of the UK's top IT professionals there on the night to help celebrate the very best female talent in the industry.

With 29 winners on the night, there was a lot of success to celebrate.

We'll shortly be publishing interviews with many of the winners, but for now enjoy this video of the highlights of the night itself - see for yourself how glittering an occasion it was!

The awards will be back again next year, as Computing strongly believes that a healthy industry is a diverse industry. We host these awards in order to promote the very best female talent, and provide an example of anyone considering a career in IT.

With females now making up fewer than on tenth of computer science students in the UK, there is still a long way to go.

However, the female talent we currently have in IT gives us all hope that this is a problem which we can rise to.
