Women in IT Excellence Awards 2018 - and the winners are…

Computing's biggest-ever Women in IT Excellence Awards were a huge success. Find out here who all the winners were!

Last night's Computing Women in IT Excellence Awards 2018 were the biggest ever, with hundreds cramming into the Marquee in Finsbury Square, London.

Compered, once again, by Holly Brockwell, the Awards recognised excellence across a total of 29 categories. Entertainment was provided by stand-up comedian Tiff Stevenson, an Edinburgh Festival favourite and regular on BBC Three's People Just Do Nothing, among many other credits.

In addition, the motivational speaker was round the world sailor Tracy Edwards MBE. She skippered the first all-female crew in the Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race in 1989 and was the first women to receive the Yachtsman of the Year Trophy.

This year, her restored Yacht, Maiden, was re-launched with a new all-women crew on a three-year world tour.

The quality of entries we saw this year was even higher than last year, making choosing winners in each category extremely difficult for our panel of judges. Making the shortlist alone was a wonderful achievement - congratulations to everyone nominated and shortlisted.

And a big congratulations to all of our winners and the highly commended. All of the winners - and the highly commended - are here:
