How clean is your software supply chain?

With malware now pervasive and high-profile organisations being breached every day, Computing invites IT leaders to a networking dinner for sharing best practise

Organisations have lost data for as long as they've held information. Whether the result of malicious activity, incompetence or sheer bad luck, every business is at risk.

The volume of attacks is increasing, with different high profile organisations making the headlines for all the wrong reasons every week.

Organisations need not only to secure themselves, but examine their entire ecosystem, and supply chain. The software supply chain is one key area which organisations need to look at very carefully.

Malware is not just infiltrating organisations via phishing or misconfigured firewalls - it's being integrated within enterprise applications via open-source components of potentially dubious provenance.

Digital transformation and the implementation of DevOps practices has put unprecedented pressure on IT departments to build and continuously improve enterprise apps, often including features in which developers lack deep expertise and who, hence, simply take components off-the-shelf.

Computing is holding an IT leaders dining club to discuss and share best practise around exactly this issue.

The event will be held on the evening of 29th November at The Savoy. Attendance is free, once you have registered and received confirmation from Computing.

It's set to be a fantastic evening of networking and shared learning, and places are strictly limited, so sign up now!
