Bamboo brings UC providers together for Tracscare

Bamboo is helping the healthcare support company move from seven providers to just one

Unified communications and IT services provider Bamboo has a won a tender with UK-based Tracscare, which provides support for people with mental health needs, to replace all of the company's mobile and fixed line telephony and data connectivity.

As it has grown over the last few years, Tracscare has acquired several smaller companies, with the result that it has more than seven different providers for telephony services. The tender was issued to consolidate these services; Bamboo won based on four criteria:

Going forward, Bamboo will provide telephony and data connectivity to several of Tracscare's sites across the UK. To manage the migration from multiple providers, the firm has developed a migration plan, covering a six-to-seven month period. This staged transfer of services is intended to minimise disruption for Tracscare's users, while also avoiding early termination fees.

Tracscare's IT director, Shane Gidman, said, "By consolidating our services with Bamboo, we have not only achieved a more cost-effective solution, but we have partnered with experts that understand the specific needs of our business as well as the healthcare industry in general… It is refreshing to have a single point of contact at Bamboo, as well as access to highly experienced service and technical teams, for all of our communications needs."
