Nottingham Trent University looking to hire a digital chief
University wants a technology leader with an outstanding record of achievement in a highly complex organisation
Nottingham Trent University is on the lookout for a director of digital technologies to help deliver "world-class" information and digital services based on student and staff needs.
The new director will report to the chief operating officer and registrar, and he or she will be tasked with championing and delivering a transformational vision for digital information systems and technology.
The selected candidate will be guided by principles around putting the needs of users first and focusing on delivery and outcomes over process, the job ad states.
"The role requires an exceptional and visionary technology leader with an outstanding record of achievement in a highly complex, multi-faceted organisation," it says.
"With an embedded customer-first ethic you will be able to enthuse and convince many stakeholders with disparate requirements," it adds.
The university said that it is important that the director brings a strong strategic perspective to the role and is able to drive service-related operational improvements across the university.
Higher education experience isn't essential but "empathy and appreciation of the challenges and drivers of a sector undergoing substantial market-driven change" would be useful, it said.
Applications for this role close on 8 June 2016. Details of pay are not included in the job advert.
