KFC selects IMGroup to improve business intelligence capability

IMGroup 'ideal partner' for KFC, says Chris Matthews, BI and corporate technology manager

Global fast food chain KFC has selected Information Management Group Ltd (IMGroup) to deliver a strategic business intelligence (BI) capability across its 850 UK stores.

IMGroup provides information management solutions and a range of advisory, delivery and managed services designed to help its clients improve business performance through the collaborative delivery of strategic programmes of business change and innovation.

The project will see IMGroup work alongside KFC technology partner Microstrategy which will begin with a comprehensive review of the current information landscape, capability and business insight needs across KFC, which employs 24,000 people in the UK.

KFC's announcement of a partnership with IMGroup comes shortly after the fast food giant signed an agreement to license Applied Predictive Technologies' data analytics software in a bid to drive profit and increase customer satisfaction.

"We selected IMGroup as our business insight transformation partner because of their business focused approach to delivering successful information management programmes," said Chris Matthews, BI and corporate technology manager at KFC UK.

"IMGroup's breadth of BI and information management platform skills coupled with their Information Strategy Assessment Service makes them the ideal partner to work with us to build our business insight roadmap," he added.

Nakis Papadopoulos, CEO of IMGroup, welcomed the partnership with KFC and the opportunity to help improve their business intelligence capability.

"We are delighted to be working with KFC. The increasing complexity of data, coupled with a challenging economic environment means organisations have to be looking at ways in which they can reduce costs, whilst offering a superior service to their customers," he said.

"We strongly believe that investing in their information management capability will enable KFC to better serve their customers and increase business efficiency," Papadopoulos added.
