Taylor Wessing CIO Stuart Walters moves to rival Olswang
Walters had been CIO at law firm Taylor Wessing for over three years and replaces Olswang IT director Clive Knott
Law firm Taylor Wessing's CIO Stuart Walters has moved to rival Olswang to become global IT director.
Walters spent over three years at Taylor Wessing as CIO, where he had been responsible for introducing several new business processes including an IT consultancy service that advises clients on the use of document management, e-mail archiving, security and mobility solutions.
He had joined Taylor Wessing in September 2011, after working his way up at Eversheds where he began working as a technical architect in June 2004, before being made infrastructure application manager in 2006. Then, ahead of his move to Taylor Wessing, he was made head of business application at Eversheds, where he stayed for over five years.
According to Walters' LinkedIn profile, in his new role he will be responsible for the IT operations and IT business change initiatives across Olswang international offices.
He claims that the objective in all of his roles "is to lead and inspire [his] team to deliver a five star service".
He adds that his objectives also include ensuring that his team "fully understands the business that they work in and help it to do what it does better" and also making sure that every individual performs to their highest potential.
Walters replaces Clive Knott, who left Olswang in January for a role as IT director of HowardKennedyFsi.
Headquartered in London, Olsang is an international law firm with offices in Berlin, Brussels, Madrid, Singapore, Munich and Reading.
