Top 10 most read: iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8, Silk Road takedown
Top stories from the past seven days on V3
Unless you were living on Mars last week you can't have failed to notice that Apple unveiled a few new devices. V3 readers were clearly keen to see what the firm had up its sleeve and numerous Apple stories proved popular.
This included our first impressions of both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, based on their specs, with both devices delivering some notable new features, including near-field communication (NFC) and larger screens.
However, the most popular story was Apple's confirmation that iOS 8 will arrive on 17 September, and it will be available for all iPhone 4S and iPad 2 owners and above. This leaves iPhone 4 owners cast adrift and stuck on iOS 7.
It wasn't all about Apple last week, though, with several notable security incidents taking place. The FBI gave more insight into how it took down the servers supporting Silk Road, using a simple Captcha tool that was broadcasting its IP address to help trace the location of the service to Iceland.
Salesforce also had to warn its customers of threats from the Dyre malware that was found targeting users of its services.
