5. 'I'm not prepared to take the whole business to Windows 8; it's too much, too quickly,' says KPMG CIO
KPMG's UK CIO Edel McGrath echoed the sentiment of many of her peers this week, telling Computing that, while Windows 8 is a pipeline idea for the firm, it is only just recovering from a complete Windows 7 overhaul, and Windows 8 would be "too much, too quickly".

1. Organisations will drop email for collaboration tools, says BG Group CIO
BG Group CIO Angus McCallum told Computing that collaboration tools such as Box will, in his opinion, completely replace corporate email in the near future.
"Collaboration is key and it's becoming even more key. What it's demonstrating as we bring in some of these collaboration tools is that you move away from what I'd call a hub and spoke company to much more inclusive company where people talk across countries," said McCallum.
"It's much easier to maintain contact with each other rather than everything going through a central office."
