Scottish ministers issue £30m tender for print services on behalf of public sector bodies

Councils, NHS bodies and Transport Scotland included as contracting authorities

The Scottish government has issued a tender for print services on behalf of public-sector bodies including NHS Health Scotland, Transport Scotland and Glasgow City Council.

The tender notice, found in the Official Journal of the European Union, involves a framework agreement for the provision of print and associated services that is broken down into four lots.

Lot 1 will cover the provision of litho and digital print services, lot 2 covers the provision of web print services, and lots 3 and 4 will cover the provision of NHS special print services for specimen bags and special labels.

The agreement will be available for use by the Scottish Ministers, Scottish non-departmental public bodies, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, the Scottish Police Authority and Scottish health boards, among others.

The names of the specific bodies can be found in the tender notice, and in addition to those contracting authorities, the framework agreement will be available to charities entered on the Scottish Charity Register and voluntary organisations entered on the membership database of the Scottish council for voluntary organisations.

The contract is covered by the Government Procurement Agreement (GPA) and will run for an initial two-year period, with an option for two further 12-month extension periods.

The estimated value of the contract is between £10m and £30m, excluding VAT.
