Citrix loses two key Zenprise MDM execs a year after acquisition

Ex-CEO and ex-CMO are off, say sources

Two key Zenprise executives have reportedly left Citrix barely a year after that company acquired the mobile management specialist.

Ex-CEO of Zenprise Amit Pandey is said to have quit his role as Citrix's general manager of XenMobile while CMO and SVP Ahmed Datoo has apparently walked out on his job as vice-president of mobile.

Citrix has not yet commented on the rumoured departures.

The company suffered two other high-profile departures earlier this year, when VP and GM of desktop and applications Bob Schultz and VP and GM of enterprise mobility Sumit Dhawan quit to join VMware, which is mounting a growing challenge to Citrix in the desktop virtualisation market.

Citrix's CEO, Mark Templeton, also announced back in January that he plans to retire within the next year.

Citrix stock value fell by 16 per cent between January 2013 and January 2014, but revenue rose by 8.4 per cent, netting the company $802.4m.

Severn Trent CIO Myton Hrycyk told Computing only yesterday that he is considering company-wide adoption of Citrix XenMobile after a possible phasing-out of BlackBerry's BES platform.
