Top stories from the past seven days on V3

As 2014 ploughs on, more and more devices are hitting the market. This has given the V3 team plenty to review and readers are clearly keen to see what we've been making of all the new hardware.

Top of the pile last week was our review of the Motorolo Moto X device, possibly the last device Motorola will release before it becomes part of Lenovo. We were slightly underwhelmed, though, with the device scoring an average three stars. Head over to read more and find out why.

Looking forward to new devices coming out this year, our top 10 features and specs we want Samsung to include in its forthcoming Galaxy S5 smartphone was also popular. It's clear fans of the firm are awaiting the new device with anticipation.

On the news side of things, a huge distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack against European and US network infrastructure came to light, peaking at a staggering 400Gbps.

Finally, HP had a busy week. Not only did it confirm that it would restrict the ProLiant service pack and software updates, but it unveiled a new app-management tool for iOS and Android devices to try to help IT departments control the apps employees are using.
