Ceredigion County Council issues tender for HR and payroll software system
System has to be compatible with council's existing SQL servers
Ceredigion County Council is on the hunt for suppliers that can provide an HR and payroll software system that is compatible with its SQL servers.
The council said that it requires a modern, integrated, flexible administrative and management information system to support its HR needs.
It added that it employs about 4,000 staff across a wide range of post types including managerial roles, clerical roles, technical roles and educational advisers.
The key requirements were set out in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) notice, in which the council said integration, employee status, "once only" data entry, web-enablement, workflow capacity and audit facilities were crucial.
The general requirements for the chosen supplier include establishing a strategic partnership with the council, ease of use of the system, and data currency, accuracy and auditability. The council also states that it wants formal reporting requirements and an organisational structure standardisation of codes.
The functional requirements include: a recruitment process, people record management, employee management, establishment management, HR information, employee training and payroll functionality.
The seven-year contract has an option for a further three-year extension and is covered by the Government Procurement Agreement (GPA). The value of the contract was not disclosed.
