What stories were hot with readers last week
Apple still has the lion's share of the tablet market, but Google is aiming to claw away dominance with its flagship Android competitor, the Nexus 7. We've been trying out the 7in Android 4.3 tablet, to see whether it's a marked improvement on the 2012 model, and whether Google has done enough to dent Apple's share.
V3 readers were also keen to hear about the next version of the Android operating system. Google has chosen chocolate bar KitKat for its moniker, rather than sticking to the dessert naming convention used for previous versions.
The other big stories of the week were the launch of Intel's Avoton Atom server chip, which HP has already rushed into its Moonshot server platform, and the long-awaited and expected purchase of Nokia's device business by partner Microsoft, which leaves rival BlackBerry in an even tougher position.
