London Borough of Merton issues £2m tender for enterprise service delivery platform

New platform will be part of the council's 'customer contact strategy'

The London Borough of Merton is looking to procure a contract for the delivery, installation, commission and configuration of an enterprise electronic service-delivery platform.

The borough, which is in south-west London and incorporates the district of Wimbledon, said it also wants implementation services to support the delivery of the council's "customer contact strategy".

The notice in the Official Journal of the European Union, reads: "The strategy sets out the principles and vision that will shape the transformation of our contact with customers over the coming months and years, and the outcomes we will aim to achieve for customers".

The council hopes to find a system that will include the integration that will deliver a personalised view of customer data, improved access to information for staff and citizens, a transactional website, and document management.

The solution will comprise of a mix of existing components and new components and the chosen supplier will work alongside the council and existing suppliers to develop, implement, manage and support the solution.

The contract is covered by the Government Procurement Agreement and is worth between £800,000 and £2m.

There is no further information in regards to the length of the contract.
