Lenovo updates tiny ThinkCentre PC with Intel 4th generation Core chips
ThinkCentre M93p offers up-to-date hardware for firms that still require desktops
Lenovo has updated its line of business desktops to Intel's latest 4th generation Core processors, including the launch of the ThinkCentre M93p, an updated version of its space-saving small form factor M92p Tiny desktop launched last year.
Available from August, the ThinkCentre M93p will ship in the same compact chassis as its predecessor, but is now available with 4th generation Intel processors up to Core i7 with vPro technology, with prices starting at £550
Despite its small size, it can be configured with up to 16GB memory with a 64GB SSD and an optional Solid State Hybrid Drive (SSHD) to boost system performance, features designed to appeal to enterprise buyers that still have a requirement for desktop PCs, according to Lenovo.
"While the world believed that desktop PCs would become extinct, Lenovo believed in the desktop's evolution. The new Tiny takes this evolution to the next level," said Vincent Fauquenot, Lenovo vice president for Products and Channels in EMEA.
Lenovo's business all-in-one has similarly updated with the ThinkCentre M93z, also available from August. This integrates Intel 4th generation processors up to Core i7 with vPro inside a full HD 23in LCD display. Certified for Windows 8 with 10-point multi-touch support, the M93z can also be configured with an optional AMD Radeon HD adapter for advanced 3D graphics capability. It will be priced from £822.
Meanwhile, the ThinkCentre M83 Enterprise Desktop supersedes the M82, providing tower chassis expansion ability. It too features 4th generation Intel Core processors and is built for enhanced business productivity with a 64GB SSD and optional SSHD for improved performance. It will be available from December, with prices starting at £500.
