Computing reveals some intriguing hidden features within Apple's mobile operating system

While Apple's iPhone and iOS operating system has been on the market for a good few years now, there are plenty of hidden, nifty features you may not know about within the system.

As such, we've put together a video guide to some of the most useful functions within the system to help you get the most from your device.

While we've shown these features on an iPhone 5 running the latest version of the iOS 6 operating system, they should work on all older devices and previous versions of the operating system.

No doubt Apple will be adding many more fancy feature improvements in its next iPhone as it seeks to keep pace with the software innovations shown by rivals HTC and Samsung, especially as its head of iOS, Scott Forstall, was ousted last year in a major management shake-up.
