UK Jelly Bean devices confirmed for future launch but details vague
ZTE has launched its first Android 4.1 Jelly Bean handset, just one week after the new operating system was released.
The ZTE N880E, is currently only available in China, but ZTE told V3 it plans to release further Jelly Bean handsets in the UK.
"At this stage this handset is only available in China. ZTE will of course be releasing Jelly Bean devices in the UK in future, but we can't at this stage advise which devices or in what timeframe," a company representative told V3.
In terms of specifications the ZTE N880E smartphone has a 4in capacitive WVGA touch-screen, and is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm 7627A processor.
It also boasts 4GB of internal memory and a 3.2MP rear-facing camera and measures in at just 10.4mm thick.
Jelly Bean was originally released on Google's flagship Nexus 7 tablet. The Nexus 7 arrived in the UK last week and has since been in high demand, with the 16GB version selling out on the Play Store days later.
