Nokia Lumia 900 pre-orders to open on 27 April
Finnish firm hopes to revive its fortunes with next Windows Phone
The Nokia Lumia 900 is available for pre-order, with the company confirming the Windows Phone will hit UK stores on 27 April.
Nokia's follow-up to the Lumia 800 is available for pre-order on a variety of deals starting at £36 per month on a two year contract with O2. Offering the 900 for free, the tariff grants users 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data.
Meanwhile, Orange is also selling the device for £41 per month, offering 1,200 minutes, 3,000 texts and 250MB of data.
Seeking to draw in customers as well as being the only supplier to be selling the Lumia 900 in white, Phones4u is currently bundling the device with a free set of Nokia wireless speakers that can pair with the 900 using the unit's near field communication (NFC) technology.
Unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) the 900 seeks to follow on from the 800, coming equipped with a larger 4.3in AMOLED display, and improved 1,830mAh battery. This compares to the 800 which packs a smaller 3.7in screen and 1,450mAh battery.
Thanks to the relatively warm reception for the Lumia 800, Nokia now sells more Windows-based phones than Symbian ones.
The outlook for the Lumia 900 looks good based on its reception in the US so far. The device is currently taking the top two slots on the Amazon best seller list for 'Cell Phones With Service Plans'.
