Aylesbury Council plans £1.5m ERP cloud deal

The council may extend the service to other councils in the area

Aylesbury Vale District Council is looking for a supplier to provide it with a cloud-based enterprise software solution, which will support the management of its finance, procurement, HR and payroll operations.

An online tender outlines that the contract will last for four years and cost up to £1.5m.

The council has said its preference is for a software-as-a-service solution that is integrated across all core modules and minimises the overall lifetime management costs.

Aylesbury has said that other councils in the area may also end up using the service.

The tender reads: "Chiltern District Council, Dacorum Borough Council, South Bucks District Council and Bucks Fire and Rescue currently do not have a requirement for this service, but are undertaking an assessment of internal procedures and practices and have expressed a formal interest in this procurement and are therefore named as parties to which the resulting arrangement is open.

"This means that the successful contractor may be expected to provide this service to one or more of the named authorities during the life of the contract."

Interested parties have until 21 March to complete the pre-qualifying questionnaire, and the council aims to have the solution implemented by the end of the year.
