CA World 2011: Service Assurance software brings IT closer to the business

IT leaders with be able to assess the impact of IT investments on the business with new real-time performance dashboard

Software company CA technologies has launched a product called Executive Insight for Service Assurance, designed to provide data and key performance indicators around how tech services impact the wider business.

The tool, launched at the user conference at CA World 2011 in Las Vegas, is a dashboard that provides IT leaders with real-time data related to business functions.

It aims to improve an enterprise's performance by increasing the value of existing investments in IT.

Mike Sargent, general manager of CA service assurance, said that the product will allow executives to have more control over data and be aware of the implications of the performance of IT services for the business as a whole.

"The tool is also tailored for mobile devices such as iPhones and iPads," he said.

The solution connects with CA's updated Application Performance Management solution to provide metrics that include average log-in times, calls-in queue and new subscriptions.

It also provides interactive dashboards, mobility, annotations and centralised and secure data functions.

"Companies have been focused on doing more with less but this tool will enable IT to really have an impact by doing what matters most to the business," said Sargent.
