Top picks of the week for V3.co.uk readers
Security and privacy concerns shared centre stage with our top 10 terrifying tech Halloween moments in our list of the most popular stories on V3 this week.
Most read was the news that Symantec has uncovered yet another large scale hacking attack. The so-called 'Nitro' campaign targeted 29 companies in the chemical industry and another 19 in sectors such as defence, although more than 100 other machines are likely to have been infected, according to Symantec.
Elsewhere, readers were keen to find out more about Apple fixing security flaws in the Windows version of QuickTime, a WordPress flaw uncovered by security vendor Avast, and revelations by former home secretary David Blunkett that the French snooped on confidential UK government emails.
Also in the top 10 was news of the Met Police's use of mobile phone monitoring technology which could breach privacy laws, and RIM's attempts to flog its PlayBook tablets with a buy-two-get-one-free deal.
V3 readers are always keen to get their hands on our reviews of the latest devices on the market, so it was no surprise to see our hands-on with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the Asus Zenbook UX31E review both make the top 10 list too.
