Top 10 articles: Apple unveils iPhone 4S, DataWind launches £29 tablet
Top picks of the week for V3 readers
The much-anticipated launch of Apple's iPhone 4S topped our list of the top ten most popular stories this week, though there was no place for the sadder news of the passing of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, who died on Wednesday.
V3 readers were more keen to find out the latest on the newest member of the iPhone family, which is set to ship with an improved A5 processor, as well as a better battery and camera.
It was another bad week for Windows Phone, however, with Steve Ballmer missing out on his annual bonus due to poor sales of the OS. Microsoft was also forced to backtrack on statements denying the technology gathered local data without users' permission.
Tablet news was popular again this week, with the launch of the £29 Aakash device in India, while BT announced plans to launch a 300Mbit/s service in the UK.
On the security front, V3 readers flocked to stories about hacktivist collective Anonymous setting up a new research arm, Iran's warnings of retaliation if it were to uncover evidence of cyber warfare, and HTC's handsets exposing user data to hackers.
