SAP seeks 100 recruits in Ireland
The expansion is to provide more technical support and R&D
Business software provider SAP has begun recruiting for 100 vacancies in Ireland and has signed a new lease on a 1,350 square meter facility in Citywest, Dublin.
The positions have become available as SAP aims to provide more technical support and research & development for international clients from the Irish capital.
"SAP's growth in Ireland is very much on track. Current activities in Ireland include the provision of services and support for our customer base in EMEA and the US," said Liam Ryan, managing director, SAP Ireland.
"Ireland provides the best in talent and its excellent workforce is one of the key factors in SAP's continued recruitment here," he added.
Barry O'Leary, CEO of IDA Ireland, the organisation responsible for all foreign direct investment (FDI), welcomed the move and said that ICT was of "paramount importance" to the country's FDI portfolio.
SAP currently employees more than 1,100 people in Ireland and its Irish operation is one of the company's largest.
