Comms giant unveils OpenTouch suite on first stop of its 24-city jaunt

Alcatel-Lucent has embarked on a tour to meet customers and partners in 24 cities across the world, kicking off in Barcelona this week.

The firm used the event in the Catalan capital to launch a suite of communication solutions and telephony hardware.

The new OpenTouch suite facilitates communication between multiple parties, on any device and any communication media.

The firm also unveiled a "smart deskphone", the OmniTouch 8082 My IC phone, which will be available on the OpenTouch suite.
