BT signs global connectivity deal with international travel company
The IP-based network will connect 51 Kuoni Group locations around the world
BT has won a contract to provide travel organisation Kuoni Group with connectivity across all its international offices.
Kuoni Group has 51 sales offices and travel agents around the world, and operates in more than 40 countries in Europe, Africa and North America.
BT declined to reveal the value of the deal.
The connectivity service provided to Kuoni will run on BT's Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network.
MPLS is a global IP-based network, which will underpin mission-critical applications for the travel group.
"This is a clear vote of confidence from Kuoni in BT's ability to deliver a reliable and secure network platform.
"Travel and telecommunications are central to the modern drive for globalisation and we are proud to be at the heart of this," said Susanne Ruoff, chief executive officer, BT Switzerland.
