Endemol takes on Telstra to enable remote working
'Deal or No Deal' production company Endemol improves remote working capabilities with Telstra
TV production firm Endemol has improved its remote working technologies for staff by employing Telstra International to provide its managed network services.
The deal will enable Endemol's remote workers in the UK to work more efficiently with highly secure access to the corporate network using Telstra International's IPVPN and ADSL lines.
Endemol decided that it needed to improve its network after recently acquiring production companies Tiger Aspect, Darlow Smithson and Tigress.
With around a quarter of the firm's employees working remotely at any given time and requiring connection to the corporate network to access emails and documents, it was imperative that they could access these through the Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network.
The new IT infrastructure allow access to all resources via the MPLS network and it supports multiple Endemol employees, while managing peaks in usage.
Adam Bijster, IT Project Manager at Endemol claims that Telstra International's network has provided a foundation on which all company systems can rely.
"Working with Telstra International means day-to-day activities such as sending emails are simpler, particularly for our remote staff," he said.
"Previously our helpdesk had to set up every connection in person but now we can provide support for everything remotely."
Endemol is responsible for producing TV shows such as ‘Deal or No Deal' and ‘Total Wipeout'.
