Steve Jobs unveils iTunes 9, HTC's Android-based Tattoo, and Currys staff get foul-mouthed
It's been a mixed bag of popular stories with V3.co.uk readers this week. First on the list was the return of Steve Jobs to the Apple stage with updates to the entire iPod line, and a new version of iTunes featuring the rather clever Genius Mix, which can continuously play similar songs from the user's library.
HTC, meanwhile, launched its Android-based Tattoo phone aiming for a price point designed to appeal to the mass market. The device offers seven fully customisable screens, and you can even change the outward appearance with a set of replaceable covers.
Also popular with readers this week was the news that Currys and PC World staff had been abusing customers on an unofficial DSGi Facebook page. Heads seem likely to roll, after the company announced a full investigation.
In other news, Amazon was accused of hypocrisy in its reaction to Google's book search project, and Intel released its new Core i5 and Core i7 chips.
But there was bad news on the security front, with hackers turning to ATMs, a woman losing $4,000 in a Facebook scam, and the exploiting of Microsoft's IIS flaw.
