UK's fittest cities 'buy most Wii Fit games'
Auction site claims connection between number of games purchased and a city's fitness level
The three 'fittest' cities in the UK also buy the most Nintendo Wii consoles
Bristol, London and Southampton have been revealed as the 'fittest cities' in the UK by fitness magazine Men's Health.
But they have also "by no coincidence" bought more copies of Nintendo's Wii Fit than any other city, according to European online auction site TeleBid.
The auction site discovered a direct correlation between the three fittest cities in the UK and the number of Nintendo Wii consoles and Wii Fit games sold.
Telebid said that Bristol buys three Nintendo Wiis for every PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Nigel Whiteoak, UK manager of Telebid, said: "These results are interesting as we see a real relationship between the cities considered 'fitter' and the location of bidders who prefer Nintendo Wiis. This can by no means be a coincidence."
Whiteoak claimed that winning on TeleBid requires a blend of skill, judgement and persistence.
The bidding site is gaining a UK following thanks to exposure on social network giant Facebook which has almost 3,000 users signed up to its fan page.
