Vodafone offers new business roaming charges
Vodafone Data Traveller subscribers will be charged £2 a day for 50MB or £10 a month for 25MB a day
Mobile provider Vodafone has introduced new data roaming charges for business and consumer customers using its phones to access the internet in Europe.
The service, called Vodafone Data Traveller, will offer occasional travellers 50MB at £2 a day, and regular travellers 25MB a day at £10 a month. By way of example, 25MB will allow customers to read and reply to 250 emails, access Facebook 500 times or download 65 maps.
In addition, consumer customers on contract price plans of £40 and above who are already benefitting from 5MB a day to use in Europe will automatically have their allowance increased to 25MB.
Business customers on selected price plans will also benefit from the allowance; for example a Business Essentials price plan, where the customer pays £35 or more a month, will provide customers with 25MB a day at no extra cost.
Standard data costs when travelling abroad are £.85p per MB up to 5MB and £4.25 for every MB after that in Europe, with the rest of the world charged £3 a MB for up to 5MB and £15 for every 5MB after that.
