Standard Chartered trusts payments processing to HP hub
Software Integrators builds messaging system on Integrity NonStop platform
SCB's payment processing goes NonStop
Standard Chartered Bank has begun using a global payments hub based on HP’s systems and installed by consultancy Software Integrators.
The financial messaging and transfer system will provide simplified, secure payments processing for the bank’s core markets in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
The system uses HP’s strong Integrity NonStop platform, which affords benefits such as reduced risk through real-time integration and high-availability software and hardware.
“With a global payment business to support, we needed a robust and flexible operating model to help drive efficiencies and provide us with a platform for growth,” said Sham Arora, head of technology solution delivery for core banking, cash management, clearing and messaging at Standard Chartered.
Demand for higher service levels and regulatory requirements mean streamlining payments is a vital part of the bank’s operations.
Software Integrators provided the Complete On-line Payments Environment (Cope) integrated payments system and Swift and Telex Automated Routing (Star) message processing system from Manchester-based Insider Technologies. Both are built on HP Integrity NonStop servers.
These serve as the central control point where the integrated payments database, real-time monitoring and reporting, and payment processing capabilities take place.
