Coventry gets new HR system
City council installs IT system to help drive business process change
Coventry City Council is implementing an £850,000 human resources and payroll system to administer its 16,000 employees.
The system will include functions to help manage recruitment, training, pensions and retirement.
It will also allow the council to request holidays, view payslips online and update their own personal records, such as when they move house or change bank account details.
Coventry City councillor Brian Kelsey says it expects the system to contribute to significant savings in personnel costs across the council.
'With the help of Northgate HR, we will be carrying out business process improvement reviews so that we can gain maximum benefit from this implementation,' he said.
