Scots consider plans for hospital bed IT system
Aberdeen initiative could curb MRSA infection rates, say Tories
The hospital bed system was pioneered in Aberdeen
The Scottish government is considering Tory demands to fund the expansion of a computer-based individual bed administration scheme pioneered in Aberdeen across Scotland in a bid to curb MRSA, C.difficile and other hospital-acquired infections.
The plan is one of a series of proposals put forward by the Scottish Conservative Party as a condition for support for the 2009 budget introduced by the minority Scottish National Party Edinburgh administration headed by first minister Alex Salmond.
