Annual revenue up eight per cent to $98.8bn (£50.1bn)
IBM: weak dollar and strong sales boost figures
IBM's has announced strong financial results for 2007, boosted by a weak dollar and strong sales performance in Asia, Europe and the developing countries.
The company reported fourth quarter revenue of $28.9bn (£14.7bn), a 10 percent rise on the previous three months, though six per cent of the growth is attributed to changes in international currency.
Full year revenue was $98.8bn (£50.1bn), up eight per cent on 2006, with four per cent due to currency impacts.
Diluted earnings of $7.18 (£3.64) per share represent an increase of 18 percent year on year.
The company will provide more detailed information on quarter and full-year 2007 results relating to its individual business segments on January 17.
