New financial system for CPS
Second phase completed
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has completed the second phase of the implementation of a financial system intended to improve payment performance, cut delays and identify and measure savings.
The software will also help the CPS achieve resource, efficiency and cost savings in line with stipulations of the Efficiency Review.
The CPS worked with IT services provider McKesson to implement an Oracle Financials system for 300 users at 42 sites.
‘This has already delivered business benefits and we are starting to recognise potential future areas for efficiency savings, such as eprocurement,’ said Jo Hall, systems accountant at the CPS.
