DCSF wants to sign a four-year framework agreement for strategic IT services

The Department for Children, Schools and Families is looking for IT suppliers in a deal that could be worth up to £200m.
The contract for a framework agreement will last four years and be awarded to an IT provider that will act act as a prime contractor to the department.
The supplier will "influence, inform and contribute to strategic planning and decision making", according to the tender notice published on the Official Journal of the European Union.
The services expected from the supplier will include strategic development; technology horizon scanning; market analysis; business-led innovation; business models and enterprise architecture development and maintenance; the provision of web-related services; and product evaluation and selection.
According to the terms of the contract, the succesful supplier with be given full scope to award sub-contracts to small and medium-sized vendors.
