Global services contributes £8bn to BT's coffers
BT has appointed Royston Hoggarth to head its Global Services businesses in the UK, reporting to chief executive François Barrault.
Hoggarth is former chief executive of Cable & Wireless UK, Europe and US and a former chief executive of Logica's International business. Prior to Logica he held various roles at IBM.
François Barrault, chief executive at BT Global Services, said: “Royston Hoggarth will lead our UK business, comprising the current Global Services UK and UK Corporates teams. Royston’s combination of expertise, enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit will prove a great asset as we continue to drive our performance in the UK market.”
UK customers contributed about half of BT Global Services’ global revenues in 2007/8 – around £4.5bn out of almost £8bn earned worldwide.
