Mac gets Raid storage system
Storage Elements introduces RAID system for OS X servers
Storage Elements has introduced what is says is the first enterprise-level RAID system developed for Mac OS X servers.
Mythos iSCSI Storage Server is a hardware-software package that combines the file-level access found in network-attached storage systems with the block-level access associated with storage area network appliances.
Mythos runs as a storage appliance supporting the backup and recovery of the data and is scalable up to 35TB. It offers both RAID and LUN (logical unit number) management controls, and features storage pooling and virtualisation over iSCSI, Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel connectors, Storage Elements president and CEO Brad Wenzel said.
Pricing for Mythos servers starts at $20,000 (£10,200 + VAT).
